QR8550 is a solid acrylic resin GMA containing epoxy group, designed for application in outdoor weatherable polyester hybrid powder coating system, providing about 5-70% low gloss and outstanding weatherability.

Product Features

l Applied to a one-step extruded carboxyl polyester outdoor weatherproof powder coating system, providing a gloss of < 5%

l TGIC or HAA (hydroxyalkylamide) curing agent can be added to replace part of QR8550 to adjust the gloss

l Mechanical and surface properties can be significantly improved by adding appropriate catalysts (such as imidazole or quaternary ammonium compounds) to the formulation

Application and Dosage 

l Mix with other components in the recipe in a high speed mixer and extruder

l The weight ratio of polyester (acid value about 34mgKOH/g) to QR8550 is 75/25

Packaging and storage

l Packed in polyethylene lined kraft paper bags of 25 kg net each

l Store in a cool and dry place to avoid moisture absorption. Seal immediately after use to avoid contamination

l Less than 35℃ storage temperature this product is effective for at least two years
