Special Texturing Agent

QR6208 is a special additive containing organometrics, which is used to prepare sand, wrinkles (commonly known as continuous paint), reticulations, mottles, water lines or other special texture additives.

Applied to pure epoxy or epoxy/polyester mixing system, fine art powder coating with various styles or patterns can be obtained by different adding methods and amounts.

3．Application and Dosage 

l It can be mixed with other materials and extruded, adding 3.5-5% of the weight of resin; It can also be added by dry mixing (adding later) with the amount of 1-2% of the total weight of the formula

l If using dry mixing method to obtain a stable pattern, the mixture must be uniform. For the same powder system, under the condition of low dosage and low strength mixing, the coating pattern is large and sparse and not obvious, on the contrary, it presents a small, compact and clear pattern

l The dosage of QR6208 and the amount of color filler both have an important impact on the pattern shape. Adjusting the proportion of filler in the formula and the type of adhesive can change the pattern of texture. Generally 10-20% of filler dosage is appropriate

l The chemical property of coating affects the shape of decorative pattern, in the recommended dosage of 3.5-5% (according to the weight of resin) and yan filler amount of about 30%, pure epoxy and mixed powder coating system is generally wrinkles, but the style is slightly different, the former is more uniform and meticulous than the latter

l Baking condition is also an important factor affecting the appearance of the pattern. Do the test to determine the appropriate conditions you need to use, such as cold spraying, fast/slow baking and other temperature conditions

5．Packaging and Storage

l Packed in polyethylene lined kraft paper bags or cardboard drums of 20kg net each

l Store in a cool and dry place to avoid moisture absorption. Seal immediately after use to avoid contamination

l Less than 35℃ storage temperature this product is effective for at least two years

6．Pay Special Attention To

l When using this product, it should be carried out under good ventilation conditions and in safe working conditions to avoid inhaling dust

l Excessive inhalation of this product dust for a long time will cause discomfort, similar to "cold" symptoms, serious will cause throat pain or even a small amount of nosebleed; In case of accidental splash into the eyes, immediately flush the eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes before seeking medical advice
